Melbourne Monarchs

The Melbourne Monarchs were one of the foundation members of the now defunct Australian Baseball League, although being expelled after the first championship the Monarchs rejoined the league in 1993 when the Footscray Football Club(now Western Bulldogs Football Club) purchased their licence. In their first season back in ABL play the Monarchs defeated the Perth Heat to take out the 1993 ABL Championship.
